Belt width gauge - PSA EB0/EB2 1.0/1.2 Petrol engine, belt running in oil

AST5249 provides a simple method to measure and check the condition of the belt on the 1.0 EB0 and 1.2 EB2.
3 cylinder \' PureTech\' petrol engines installed in a range of Citroen, Peugeot and Opel models.
Over time the belt in the oil can become swollen. This simple tool provides positive identification of a swollen belt.
If the belt fits between the jaws of the tool, the condition of the belt is within the acceptable limit.
If the belt is swollen and wider than the inside of the tool, the belt must be replaced.
IMPORTANT: A general inspection of the belt must also be carried out; this includes, but is not limited to: Checking for missing or damaged teeth, frayed edges, damage to the belt structure including cracks, missing material and abrasions caused by misalignment and other signs of wear.
