Set of spreading tools
In order to be able to pull stuck shock absorber assemblies from the steering knuckle clamp bore or suspension joints from the lower suspension joint mounting without damage, it is absolutely necessary to properly widen the clamp bore with an expansion tool.
The expanding tool set allows the professional expansion of the clamping bore of the strut and of the lower suspension connection on the front axle. Required, for example, when replacing the spring, shock absorber and suspension link. The floating bolts prevent the expansion tool from tilting and the special expansion wedge with stop prevents the clamping bore from expanding too much. Damage to the cast or aluminum steering knuckle or other chassis parts as a result of unprofessional disassembly and assembly attempts is thus avoided.
Thanks to the variably sliding expansion head, even vehicles with an off-center clamping slot pose no problem!
Suitable for strut clamp bores, e.g. Audi A3 (8P, 8V), Audi TT (8S); VW Golf IV (1J), Golf V (1K), Golf VI (1K), Golf VII (AU), Passat (3C, 362, 365), T5 (7H, 7J), T6 (7H, 7J); BMW; Lemon; Ford; Mercedes Vito, V-Class; Nissan Qashqai (J10, 2006-2013); Seat; Škoda; Renault Kadjar (2015-2018); Peugeot; yep.
