Camshaft locking, ladder frame for Opel F15 D15 engines, such as EN-52770
When repairing the camshafts, they must first be secured in place with a locking tool. Loosening the camshaft bearing caps without retaining them will destroy the ladder frame on the cylinder head.
Procedure:
Remove valve cover
Remove timing chains and camshaft sprockets
Attach the retaining frame to the camshaft housing and tighten the 2 screws by hand.
The 20 screws of the camshaft bearing cover can now be loosened. Please note that they are of different lengths.
After the bearing caps have been removed, the two retaining device screws can be loosened alternately by half a turn until the camshafts are loose.
When replacing the camshafts, pay attention to the vertically upward-facing marks (on the front of the first stop of the bearing cap).
Now press the camshafts down with the holding tool using the two screws (alternating half a turn) until they are hand tight.
The bearing caps can now be installed and screwed in from the inside out. Seconded (always one bearing hood all) ._ Br_ instructions for required torture moments: _BR_ (Take the manufacturer\'s specifications in eight) _BR_Bey chain camshaft: 60 Nm + 90 degrees
