Time adjustment kit for Jaguar, Land Rover Ingenium I6 3.0 PT306 petrol engine

This special tool set for replacing the timing chain or adjusting the timing is suitable for the newer Ingenium I6 engine series PT306 engines from Jaguar and Land Rover.
Two timing chains are used in these 3.0 liter engines. , which are connected by a gear. The timing chain is located on the transmission side.

Procedure:
(Reference: Land-Rover Range Rover (L405) 3.0, 4x4, 400 hp, year 2021, with engine code PT306)
The ribbed belt is tensioned on the alternator via a tensioning device. This is secured with a locking pin.
It is not necessary to disassemble the gearbox and flywheel just to check the timing or to replace the upper timing chain, but it is necessary for the lower timing chain.
The timing of the idler gear can be adjusted checked using a sealing cap.

The crankshaft is adjusted and secured to the flywheel damper with the special tool part no. 122001 (to be used as 303-1659). This is also used to hold the flywheel bolts when you loosen them.
The camshaft is blocked with special tool art. no. 121999 (to be used as 303-1657). It is fitted once via the opening of the removed filler neck and via access to a test bolt through the intake manifold.
It is possible to position and hold the VCT camshaft adjustment using the adjustment tool, part no. 121999 (to be used as 303-1657).
Note the position of the camshaft phases (exhaust/intake) before removing them. The camshaft phases must not be interchanged.
Required tightening torques, if applicable:
Upper timing cover: 13 Nm
Lower timing cover: M6 screws 12 Nm, M8 screws 25 Nm
Solenoid valves of the variable camshaft control: 9 Nm
Sliding rails: top 11 Nm, top left 25 Nm
Chain tensioner: 55 Nm
Variable camshaft timing screws: 20 Nm + 60 degrees
Oil filler cap: 12 Nm
Camshaft test screw: 10 Nm
Crankshaft position sensor: 8 Nm
Flywheel bolts: 30 Nm + 120 degrees
