Brake pedal lever, for DSC, DXC, DSCi brake,

This special tool (to be used as BMW 83302409646) is indispensable for work on the pedals or the hydraulic unit on newer BMW vehicles to lift the brake pedal from the brake booster. Without this special tool, there is a risk that the brake pedal support or the brake pedal clamp will be damaged.
The lever is placed with the clamp on the pin of the master brake cylinder and pressed against the rear mounting plate of the brake pedal.
The special shape and opening ensures that the clamp connection is master brake cylinder - brake pedal or hydraulic unit - brake pedal pressed apart in a controlled manner.

NOTE DSCi brake:
The DSCi brake installed by BMW has the special feature that the brake pedal is pressed directly onto the hydraulic unit with a ball mounting. The hydraulic unit also contains the expansion tank.
The car must be left without power during the repair.
Otherwise a separate brake bleeding routine must be performed after the repair. The vehicle battery must not be reconnected until the braking system has been completely filled with brake fluid and has been bled again as standard.
